Profile of Hon. Samuel Kofi Ahiave Dzamesi

Hon. Samuel Kofi Ahiave Dzamesi is a Ghanaian Engineer and Politician. He had his secondary education at St. Martins Secondary School in Nsawam from 1971 to 1977 for his O-level certificate, and at the Accra Academy from 1978 to 1980 for his A-level certificate. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi and a Diploma in Marketing.

In 2001 he was appointed Deputy Volta Regional Minister by H.E President John Agyekum Kufuor and was later appointed as the substantive Regional Minister for the Volta Region.

Hon. Samuel Kofi Ahiave Dzamesi served as Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs during the first term of His Excellency the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. As Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, he engaged feuding factions in various chieftaincy disputes in the country to find lasting solutions for peace including the Dagbon chieftaincy conflict. He also set up committees to strategize and facilitate yearly pilgrimages from Ghana to Israel and other Holy sites in the Christian world.

Hon. Samuel Kofi Ahiave Dzamesi was appointed by H.E. the President and confirmed by the Bui Power Authority Board of Directors as Chief Executive Officer on September 3rd, 2021.

Dr. Riverson Oppong

 Manager, Commercial Operations Ghana Gas
With 12 years Global experience in the oil and gas industry, Dr. Riverson Oppong is currently the Commercial Manager in charge of Economic Modeling, Risk Management and Planning at Ghana National Gas Company. He is also an Adjunct Lecturer at Ghana Technology University College (on Coventry Oil and Gas programs), and a Visiting Lecturer at University of Cape Coast. He is also the Program Chair of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Ghana Section, even as he continues to serve as an Advisory Committee Member of SPE Africa. He also sits on the Technical Committee for World Petroleum Council, Ghana Chambers. He is an experienced Oil and Gas Business Analyst with solid technical and commercial knowledge in oil and gas field development planning and portfolio management. He is heavily involved in the day-to-day interpretation of value creation potential for oil and gas businesses. His strengths include being diligent, innovative and technology driven. Riverson holds Ph.D. in International Oil and Gas Management – Economics, from Gubkin Russian University of Oil and Gas; Diploma in Earth GeoScience from Stanford University, USA; Masters (with honors) in Petroleum Engineering from Gubkin Russian University of Oil and Gas, with Masters Exchange Program in Arctic Development from Norwegian University of Nordland; a Bachelors degree in Materials (Industrial) Science and Engineering from K.N.U.S.T., Ghana; Diploma in Project Management from Institute of Commercial Management, UK. Dr. Riverson Oppong is a key contributor to Ghana’s Energy Sector Recovery Program.

Mr. Daniel Hesse-Tetteh

Daniel the Co-Founder and Managing Director of HT Marine Offshore Logistics Limited, an Offshore logistics services company, which has served directly and indirectly with International and Local oil and gas players such as Tullow, ENI and Ghana National Gas company (Ghana Gas).

Scopes of work have included a myriad of vessel support services including STS support operations, marker bouy inspection services, data buoy recovery operations, and bio data sampling surveys to name a few.

Daniel is also an Executive Director at Harlequin International(GH) Limited, a company that offers services including subsea support, hydraulic repairs, engineering, fabrication, brush plating, sandblasting, mobile services and NDT testing. Harlequin offers quality general and industrial tooling, welding equipment & consumables as well as bulk cargo handling systems and high-pressure hydraulic systems.

Daniel is bilingual in French and English and is a very effective communicator. He brings to table a wealth of contacts and high attention to detail for all projects he is in involved in.

Daniel is an alumnus of University of Aberdeen-Scotland, where he obtained a joint Honors Degree in French and Legal Studies with a focus on Oil and Gas Law.

He is also an alumnus of the University of Warwick in Coventry, England, where he obtained an MSC in Supply Chain and Logistics Management. He also holds Diplomas in Strategic Management and Foundations of Management from London School of Economics, as well as Diplomas in French and Marketing from Science Po Rennes in France.

His other business interests include Real Estate, Manpower, Electrical Engineering, Specialized Communications, Beverage Manufacturing, and more recently through Harlequin, general and specialist Engineering Services.

Ms. Rachel More Oshodi

Energy and Infrastructure Expert

Rachel is a project finance thought leader and global strategist with 20 years’ experience working with some of the best international energy companies, investment banks, and multilateral organizations globally. She has delivered over $5 billion (USD) worth of pioneering and award-winning projects across the infrastructure and energy value chain that have fostered economic growth and delivered sustainable access to electricity and ICT services to millions of people. Rachel began her career in the US at AES Corporation, a global energy company where she developed vital electricity generation, transmission, and distribution assets in Latin America, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Subsequently, she spent close to a decade with multilateral agencies at the Inter-American Development Bank and the International Finance Corporation, before joining Rand Merchant Bank, one of Africa’s leading investment banks, to head the infrastructure platform for West Africa. Rachel is passionate about Africa and the belief that true socio-economic development will be realized as Africans continue to conceptualize, construct, and drive progressive policies and reforms. She is invested in building a continent that is self-sufficient and is committed to implementing innovative solutions that tackle Africa’s prevailing challenges. She holds an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Virginia and is a fellow of the Senior Executive Program – Africa, from the Harvard Business School. She serves on the Advisory Board of Inspired Evolution, a South African based renewable and clean energy infrastructure fund and is a Non-Executive Director of Eja-Ice, a solar powered refrigeration and cold chain service company that helps mitigate waste and sustain profit of fisheries and other small businesses in Nigeria.

Mr. Siamack Atiabi

Siamack started his career as Subsea Engineer in Norway and specialized in design of Wellhead equipment. He then joined ABB as Product Engineer and led product development for subsea electrification. Since 2000 he has held leading roles in Business Development at ABB and Alcatel Lucent and DNV groups. He is currently serving as Market Area Manager at DNV France. Siamack graduated from Norwegian Institute of Technology in Structural Engineering and has an MBA from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Ingénieur pétrolier de formation, il oriente la plupart de sa carrière sur la performance opérationnelle et l’efficacité énergétique à bas coût, combinées à une forte prise en compte des enjeux environnementaux et éthiques. Jonathan Dery est ingénieur diplômé de l’ESTP Paris et de l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure du Pétrole et des Moteurs (IFP-School), où il enseigne également. Jonathan s’investit aussi depuis plus de 10 ans dans la formation à l’international d’étudiants dans le cadre d’une mission pour le Ministère de l’Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche et contribue ainsi au rayonnement académique et industriel de la France à l’étranger. Jonathan est également lauréat 2022 du classement Choiseul 100.

Mr. Nuetey Adzeman

Mr. Nuertey Adzeman is an entrepreneur by passion and oil and gas consultant by profession, He has over twenty (20) years of managerial leadership experience of which ten (10) years was spent in the engineering sector in Nigeria. Mr. Adzeman began his career at Fung Tia Engineering Company Limited in Nigeria as a country representative for Ghana. He also became country representative for JKL Energy Limited of Aberdeen, United Kingdom in the year 2010. He is a founding member of the Ghana Oil and Services Providers Association (GOGSPA) and have been serving as the Executive Secretary since 2009. He has an extensive private sector experience in various capacities and has attended several conferences and seminars. Mr Nuertey Adzeman serves on the local content committee of the Petroleum Commission , representing the indigenous companies in the Oil and Gas industry of Ghana, he is also the acting executive secretary of Guyana Chamber of commerce Ghana. He have several years of experience in the oil and gas local content and he comes well recommended.
